Sizing Guidance

The largest rectangle creates a substantial panel suited to 5x7 and A5 card fronts. As the dies reduce by approximately 1 cm in both dimensions, the set provides evenly graduated options for layering and matting. The third-largest size is approximately 14.2 cm × 10.2 cm, making it particularly useful for creating a near-A6 panel with a narrow border around the card front.

Description

This large rectangle nesting metal cutting die set includes 12 graduated sizes for creating stitched panels, frames and apertures. Each cutting line has decorative stitching on both sides, so the detail appears around the edge of the cut-out rectangle and around the opening left in the surrounding cardstock.

The approximately 1 cm reductions between neighbouring sizes make it easy to create evenly spaced layers without having to estimate the border width. Use the dies individually for clean stitched panels or combine two or more sizes to make frames, shaker windows and layered designs from contrasting cardstock, patterned paper or speciality finishes.

This nesting set is supplied connected and is intended to be separated before first use.

For best results, first gently twist the individual dies away from each other to separate the main frame. Once separated, any remaining connector tabs can usually be detached by gently wriggling and twisting them using small pliers or nippers. Depending on the set, some tabs may require careful trimming with fine snips if they do not release easily.

Measurements are approximate and taken from the outer cutting edge. Finished cuts will be slightly smaller.
