Sizing Guidance

The largest 16.2 × 12.3 cm oval creates a substantial focal panel suitable for filling much of an A5 or 5 × 7 inch card front.

With approximately 1 cm difference between each graduated size, the set is particularly useful for creating evenly spaced mats, narrow frames and layered borders. The middle sizes work well on A6 cards, while the smallest ovals are suitable for sentiments, names, dates and compact decorative panels.

Use individual dies for complete oval shapes, or position two sizes together to cut frames, apertures and shaker-window openings.

Ideal Card Sizes

  • A6 – mid-sized oval panels, sentiment frames and apertures
  • 5 × 7 inches – large focal panels and layered backgrounds
  • 6 × 6 inches – centred oval frames and decorative arrangements
  • A5 – full card-front panels using the largest sizes
  • Larger cards and scrapbook pages – multiple layered ovals and substantial frames

Perfect For

  • Layered oval card panels
  • Matting and framing
  • Sentiment panels
  • Apertures and shaker windows
  • Portrait and photograph frames
  • Wedding and anniversary cards
  • Birthday and celebration projects
  • Scrapbook layouts
  • General papercrafting

Description

Create professional-looking layered designs with this set of 11 double stitched oval nesting metal cutting dies. Every die cuts a clean elongated oval while adding decorative dashed stitching to both sides of the cutting line. This means the removed oval and the surrounding cardstock panel both receive an attractive stitched finish.

The graduated sizes reduce by approximately 1 cm, making it easy to create evenly spaced mats, contrasting layers and narrow decorative frames. Use the larger dies for card-front panels, the middle sizes for focal images and apertures, or the smaller ovals for sentiments and personalised details.

Cut from plain, patterned, metallic or textured cardstock to create designs for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and everyday projects. Made from durable carbon steel, the dies are reusable and compatible with most manual and electronic die-cutting machines.

Please Note

Demonstration cuts may be shown in the photographs to illustrate the designs created by the dies. The listing is for the metal cutting dies only.

Measurements are approximate and taken from the outer cutting edge. Finished cuts will be slightly smaller.

This nesting set is supplied connected and is intended to be separated before first use.

For best results, first gently twist the individual dies away from each other to separate the main frame. Remaining connector tabs can usually be removed by gently wriggling and twisting them with small pliers or nippers. Some tabs may require careful trimming with fine snips if they do not release easily.
